TVNZ is propaganda

TVNZ has published many articles in support of immigration to New Zealand.

In one recent article TVNZ quoted Michael Wood, then Minister of Immigration, who claimed that immigration can solve a labour shortage.

The article did not include contrary views.

We wrote a complaint to TVNZ about that article. In our complaint we explained that immigration cannot solve a labour shortage.

TVNZ replied "Complaints founded on a publication's failure to convey tropes or arguments which are harmful to groups of people are unlikely to breach the expectations of Media Council Principles."

That's why TVNZ will not convey arguments against immigration.

They believe public debate on immigration policy is harmful.

TVNZ is propaganda.
